Tegan: My girlfriend walks me to the bathroom. The entire time I dated this girl for like five years, I used to wake her up in the middle of the night because I was too scared to go by myself. So, I'm like a little child trapped in my body.
Sara: I think I've said this to you before on stage, but if you are too afraid to go to the bathroom, then you are not old enough to have a girlfriend.
Tegan: I know that's how you see it, because you're very independent but like-
Sara: Justin Bieber. He probably still needs somebody to walk him. You're basically like.. You're Justin Bieber.
Tegan: I love him, I think you need to back off Justin.
Sara: I like him too but he is sixteen.
Tegan: Well here's my thing, this is my final thought and it works actually really well with the next song I'm about to play because I wrote this song after I had been single for about five seconds, after being in a five year relationship with someone who walked me to the bathroom. And uh, it was, it was terrifying to learn how to do things by myself again like, all joking aside it was terrifying to do my laundry and go to the bathroom and learn how to put a duvet cover over a duvet. I'm just fucking with you. But come on, it's kinda cute, you can like wake up in the middle of the night and you're all like "hey can you walk me to the bathroom?" and they're like "sure.." and I'm like "stay outside of the door please."
